Location: UMBC Campus
Reporting to the Collection Management/Interlibrary Loan Manager, this position processes ILL Borrowing requests and will be responsible for borrowing materials from other libraries. Responsibilities include: querying national and local on-line databases, as well as Internet and reference sources, to search and verify bibliographic references; searching and retrieving journals and books; scanning and delivering articles for ILL and, at times, document delivery, and preparing and sending print materials.; managing incoming mail and electronic articles; updating ILLiad, RAPID ILL, Aleph and OCLC requests and records and preparing items for mailing; working with the ILLiad database and manipulation of electronic files; may take on responsibility for copyright clearance record keeping; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience directly related to the primary duties of the position.
Must have good organization and communication skills; be detail oriented, self-motivated, and flexible; demonstrate the ability to work independently; and be proficient with word processing applications.
This position requires physical labor-lifting boxes and books, and pushing loaded book trucks.

Salary: Pay Range 10 (starting at $38,204) based on the University System of Maryland Pay Program
