Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Collection Management/Interlibrary Loan Manager, this position processes ILL Lending and Document Delivery requests. The incumbent will be responsible for lending materials from the UMBC library to other libraries locally, nationally and internationally. Responsibilities include: verifying bibliographic references; searching and retrieving journals and books; scanning and delivering articles for ILL and Document Delivery and preparing and sending print materials items for mailing; managing incoming mail and electronic articles; updating ILLiad, RAPID ILL, Aleph, and OCLC records as needed; working with ILLiad database and manipulation of electronic files; may take on responsibility for copyright clearance record keeping; and performing other duties as assigned.
Note: This position requires physical labor-lifting boxes and books, and pushing loaded book trucks.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience directly related to the primary duties of the position.
Must have good organization and communication skills; be detail oriented, self-motivated, and flexible; demonstrate the ability to work independently; and be proficient with word processing applications.
This position requires physical labor-lifting boxes and books, and pushing loaded book trucks.

Salary: Pay Range 10 (starting at $38,204) based on the University System of Maryland Pay Program
