Spectrum: CLOTHING SWAP!
A clothing swap for trans/nonbinary students

1pm-2pm, following the swap will be our bi-monthly Spectrum discussion group, where we will discuss gender affirming style.
Who: This clothing swap and following discussion group is for trans, nonbinary and genderfluid UMBC students. We are accepting and encouraging all students to donate clothing whether or not you are participating.
Where: The Women’s Center Lounge in The Commons
When : Monday, April 24th, 12pm-1pm, clothing swap, 1pm-2pm, discussion group
Questions:
Can I donate clothing?
Yes! We are accepting clothing donations from all students. You can bring your donation into the Women’s Center from April 19th-24th, between the hours of 11am-5pm (3pm on Friday). Please wash clothing before donating, and only bring clothes in good condition.
Do I have to be a Spectrum member?
Nope! Spectrum is an open community discussion group, and there is no registration or sign up to participate in the clothing swap or discussion group. If you are interested in staying up to date with Spectrum, please email womenscenter@umbc.edu to be added to our mailing list.
Do I have to stay the whole time?
Nope! You can come for just the clothing swap, just the discussion group, or a little of both.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you are able to, bring clothing donations, but if not you are still welcome to participate!
The Spectrum Discussion Group makes space for UMBC community members who identify as trans, genderqueer, gender fluid, outside of the gender binary, and/or those who are questioning their gender identity.
Spring 2023: We meet bi-weekly on Mondays at 1pm in the Women's Center Lounge!
If you have any questions, concerns, or want to know more about the group, email us at womenscenter@umbc.edu.
