Closed meeting for in the lounge for Rebuilding Manhood.
Friday, November 13, 2015 · 2 - 3:30 PM
On Campus
This 11-week experience for men explores manhood and gender in order to promote a healthy and multifaceted masculinity for oneself and throughout UMBC’s campus community. Rebuilding Manhood will create a safe space for consciousness-raising and critical thinking related to gender, masculinity, leadership, and various social issues. Masculinity will be explored parallel to conversations about race and ethnicity, economic status, sexual orientation, religion, privilege and oppression, and other aspects of individual and cultural identity. Rebuilding Manhood also aims to mobilize men as responsible leaders and allies in gender equity and the prevention of violence against women. If you are interested in participating in Rebuilding Manhood, please contact the Women’s Center or visit the application page for more information.
