Marc Steiner is the creator of the Peabody Award-winning Marc Steiner Show and founder of the Center for Emerging Media (CEM). He is currently working with Media and Communication Studies and with UMBC faculty in a number of BreakingGround courses to capture stories of place, transitions, and futures in Baltimore's most post-industrial communities. On March 10 Marc gave a public talk on what CEM does and the importance of developing deep listening skills.
