Summer Enrichment Experience - Magic Fluids
Program on fluid mechanics for juniors and seniors
The Magic Fluids Experience is a unique one-week academic summer camp program on fluid mechanics for junior and senior high school students. Students will be exposed to state-of-the-art research and facilities in the Computational Mechanics Laboratory, learn basic fluid mechanics knowledge, and gain hands-on experience with computational and experimental fluid dynamics. Upon completing the summer camp, the students will understand how to use the fluid science and technology for the betterment of humankind. It is expected to stimulate students’ interests in STEM fields and to equip them with skills critical for success in their future study. Students should have a knowledge of the fundamentals of calculus and physics.
The program is taught by Dr. Meilin Yu, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering, August 6-10, to future engineers entering 11th and 12th grades.
