AS A VETERAN, WHAT BENEFITS AM I ENTITLED TO?
Please join Off-Campus Student Services on Wednesday, September 28, during free hour (noon to 1 p.m.) at Flat Tuesday’s Patio (The Commons, outside of the north entrance) to welcome Sgt. Curtis “Gunny” Jones for a discussion on how to get the most out of your veterans benefits and navigate Veterans Affairs.
Sgt. Jones, a tireless advocate for veterans on diverse issues, is a current member of the Veterans Health Advisory Council at the Washington, DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, as well as a member of the AARP Veterans Engagement Team. He is also the president of a local VFW, and commander of a local American Legion. Sgt. Jones has dedicated much of his time to helping fellow veterans obtain health and living accommodations. Sgt. Jones looks forward to joining our UMBC veterans to share his expertise and advocacy experience to enhance your own.
Lunch will be provided, so please come and take advantage of this important opportunity to learn more about accessing your veterans benefits. RSVP is required.
