Welcome or welcome back to campus! This week our office is shining a spotlight on pre-health student organizations on campus. Joining an organization is a great way to connect with others who share your career aspirations. If you're interested in one or more of these organizations, be sure to check them out during Involvement Fest on Wednesday, February 8th from noon-2pm in the Retriever Activities Center (RAC) (details here) or visit their myUMBC Groups page.
Pre-Med? Join Phi Delta Epsilon!
PhiDE Spring 2023 Recruitment
Are you pre-med? If so, join the Phi Delta Epsilon phamily this spring!
What is Phi Delta Epsilon (PhiDE)? PhiDE is UMBC’s only all-inclusive professional medical fraternity. Our local chapter is part of the largest medical fraternity in the world with over 100 premedical and medical chapters since Phi Delta Epsilon’s founding at Cornell University of Medical College in 1914!
Why join PhiDE? Our 40 members can provide you with a great support system, unique mentoring opportunities (like how to do well in your classes and how to study for the MCAT) as well as connections to shadowing, research, and clinical opportunities. Joining our phamily also allows you to network with the thousands of PhiDE-affiliated undergraduate students, medical students, and physicians around the world.
Above all, joining our phamily allows you to make lifelong friendships and memories with a group of amazing individuals!
What do we do as a professional fraternity? We meet weekly on Thursdays where we often have guest speakers (alumni, medical students, and physicians) come in to do very informative talks! We also participate together in service projects to give back to the local Baltimore community, and outside of chapter meetings and services, we also like to get bubble tea, grab food, and just have a good time with our fellow fratters!
How can I join PhiDE? Please visit our Instagram page @umbcphide or visit linktree.com/umbcphide to learn more.
We are excited to see you in the next upcoming weeks!
