Hello, Retrievers!
As an elected SGA Senator, in order to ensure the creation of a more united, more
inclusive, and more open-minded UMBC undergraduate body, I will offer and advertise thought-provoking discussions during the semester that revolve around 3 topics that are relevant to a person's life, regardless of their major or intended career path: politics, language, and culture. Through this opportunity, members of the UMBC undergraduate body—the target population—will become more open-minded, knowledgeable, and comfortable with discussing about different political viewpoints, cultures, and languages.
NOTE: There will be 3 in-person discussions: one on Tuesday, 5/3, from 1:00 p.m. to
2:00 p.m., one on Thursday, 5/5, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and one on Friday, 4/29, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Currently, an exact room has not been booked yet.
NOTE: The chosen, sole topic is immigration, and refreshments will be provided.
If you're interested in participating, please send me an email at: nicholg1@umbc.edu.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Best regards,
SGA Senator Nick Grempler
