It is located here. SGA is the perfect place to step into leadership and help shape the student experience at UMBC.
We are currently accepting applications to run for the following positions:
President: The primary representative and leader of SGA’s executive branch. The President promotes student interests, collaborates with campus partners, oversees executive appointments and initiatives, and works closely with legislative and financial bodies.
Executive Vice President: Supports the President in leading SGA’s Executive Branch and advancing initiatives that benefit undergraduate students. They help coordinate executive operations, organize meetings, and promote collaboration across SGA branches, while also leading the Executive Operations Team
Treasurer: Manages SGA’s funds and financial processes in a manner consistent with the best interests of the undergraduate student body. Is a member of the Finance Board and works with the President to prepare and propose an annual SGA budget for the fiscal year
Vice President of Student Organizations: Promotes and supports UMBC’s student organizations through programs, services, and work with campus partners. Serves as a voting member of the Finance Board and is the leader of the Student Organizations Support Team.
Senator: Conducts outreach to the student body, works on initiatives to create tangible benefits for UMBC students, and organizes and empowers other students to strengthen the UMBC community
Finance Board Member: Allocates funds to support student organization activities. Members of the Finance Board will allocate $370,000 to student organizations over the course of the 2025-2026 academic year
Applications close March 8th at 11:59pm. We encourage students from all backgrounds and experiences to apply and bring their perspectives to student government at UMBC. If you want to learn more, come to an interest meeting on Monday, March 2nd from 12-1pm (The Commons 329) or Thursday, March 5th 2-3pm (The Commons 318).
