Nominations are open for the 2026-27 Transform Mid-Atlantic Civic Fellowship Program.
Emmanuella Osei is UMBC's current Fellow. Past Fellows include Rehman Liaqat and Jok Abraham Thon. Find them at the Transform Mid-Atlantic Civic Fellowship Program (TMAFP) website.
Timeline - it's a tight turnaround:
- Eligibility requirements and the TMACF description can be found in the nomination form.
- Your nominations are due by next Friday, February 27th, 2025 at 12pm. You do not need to write a letter of recommendation within the form; however, if you've written one before that covers the criteria, save yourself time!
- From there, the Selection Committee (comprised of Shriver Center and Center for Democracy and Civic Life staff) will invite nominees via email to respond to several prompts. This will also be a quick turnaround.
- Based on the timeliness and quality of nominees' responses, the Selection Committee will identify UMBC's nomination and work with President Sheares Ashby's Office to submit nomination materials to Transform Mid-Atlantic, which is due at the end of March (TMA has granted a time extension).
