Hello Fellow Sites Admins,
The Career Center is excited to announce our transition to a new job system, called Handshake, which has become the #1 place employers recruit college students and recent graduates.
This new platform is now live and will replace the university's old system, UMBCworks, which has been around since 2006.
Please help us get the word out to students, faculty and staff by updating your websites to reflect this important change. Please search for links/references to UMBCworks within pages of the Site(s) you own, and make updates to Handshake.
Departments that work closely with the Career Center on internship or research programs please pay special attention if you find any of your pages that have student instructions for using UMBCworks to apply for practicum notation or faculty supervised credit experiences - these instructions will need to be revised or replaced with a direct link to Career Center pages.
If you have any questions or need support with updating the text of your Careers page, please reach out to careers@umbc.edu. Thank you for your support.
