DOIT made some upgrades to Sites over the weekend that will give you more options for how content is delivered from myUMBC into your site. These updates will not alter anything you've created within your site previously, but you may notice the slight changes for certain future updates. Click on the FAQs for each section to learn more.
Managing myUMBC Content
In the previous version of Sites, you would go to the bottom of the "UMBC Settings" page to select the myUMBC group token you wanted to connect with for various types of content within your site. With the upgrade, you now can control which myUMBC group you're pulling from both from individual pages (at the lower right-hand side of the page in the new "UMBC Content" box) and from the Widgets section. In both cases, in addition to pulling in spotlights, news, and event feeds (as before), you can now also pull in media and discussions. You can also access feeds from multiple myUMBC groups now within your site (one per page). Visit this FAQ for more information.
Directory Listings
Also new with the upgrade is a bit more flexibility in how you can manage staff directory listings. To make a page a staff directory page, you can go to the lower right-hand side of the edit box to find the "UMBC Content" box, and pull down "Staff Directory." Within that choice is the option of using an advanced syntax to vary the layout of your listings.
