Dr. Christine Mair Awarded P30 Grant from the National Institute on Aging

Dr. Christine Mair, Associate Professor of Sociology, Anthropology, and Public Health and Director of UMBC's Center for Health, Equity, and Aging, is co-leading a six-year National Institute on Aging P30 Grant to establish the Southern Population Aging Research Center (SPARC). In collaboration with the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the Center will advance aging and population health research in the U.S. South, strengthen training for early-career scholars, and enhance research capacity at UMBC and across the region.
