Gilman Drop-in Advising

The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students receiving a Federal Pell Grant to study or intern abroad, providing scholarships of up to $8000 to participate in approved education abroad programs. The deadline for the next application cycle, for students interested in studying abroad during the summer 2024, fall 2024, or winter or spring of 2025 is Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
The UMBC Education Abroad Office will also sponsor two final walk-in advising and essay guidance sessions to help students learn about the Gilman program, as well as offer guidance for a competitive application.
· Thursday, February 29 at 2-4 pm in 204 University Center
· Monday, March 4 at 2-4 pm in 204 University Center
