Drop-In Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Advising!
Are you interested in studying abroad? Are you a Federal Pell Grant recipient? Or are you the child of an active duty service member in the US military? If you answered yes to two or more of those questions, you should apply for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship or the Gilman-McCain Scholarship!
The Gilman Scholarship enables Pell Grant recipients to study or intern abroad, while providing them with skills critical to U.S. national security and economic prosperity. By supporting undergraduate students who have high financial need, the Gilman Program has helped students who have thought study abroad to be financially difficult to participate in these life-changing opportunities.
The staff of UMBC's Education Abroad Office will host several drop-in advising sessions in early October to offer guidance for a competitive application, answer any questions, and assist students with completing their application.
Applications for the Winter 2025, Spring 2025, Summer 2025, Fall 2025 and academic year 2025-26 programs are due October 10, 2024.
