Join our faculty leader, Dr. Ramana Vinjamuri, and the Education Abroad Team for a hybrid info session to learn about the Introduction to Brain Computer Interfaces in Thailand program. We will discuss the itinerary, cultural activities, course (CMSC 491 or CMSC691) , and the ins and outs of the application process.
Program Overview
This program explores how brain–computer interfaces (BCIs), neurotechnology, and mental-health systems operate across global engineering and healthcare environments. Students will travel to Thailand to gain first-hand exposure to research and clinical applications of BCI technologies. The program combines classroom instruction with site visits to medical centers, research labs, engineering institutes, and innovation hubs. Participants will interact with researchers, clinicians, and engineers working on neurotechnology solutions for mental health and rehabilitation. Through these experiences, students will examine how technology, healthcare infrastructure, and cultural context influence the development of brain–computer interfaces worldwide.
