International Bazaar
Enjoy the official kickoff for International Education Week!
Tuesday, November 5, 2013 · 12 - 2 PM
What is International Education Week? It is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide! It is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education.
How can you get involved?
On Tuesday, November 5, from 12-2pm, we will be holding the International Bazaar on Main St. in the Commons. This event will be very similar to Involvement Fest, centered around a cultural theme. You would have the opportunity to host a “cultural booth” - a display similar to the Involvement Fest tables, typically including games, toys, instruments or items related to a culture or international theme. We are also looking for short (3-10 minute) performances from students or student groups, like songs, dances, fashion shows, skits, and so on.
The International Bazaar is meant to be fun and relaxed, and are a great way to raise awareness of your culture! If you are interested or simply want more information regarding International Education Week, please contact Stephen Moore at ms9@umbc.edu.
