Critical Language Scholarship Writing Workshop
Learn how to craft competitive essays!
The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, and offers fully funded summer language intensive programs for U.S. university students. Successful applicants spend 8-10 weeks overseas during the summer, learning Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, or Urdu.
As an opportunity extended to undergraduate students across the country that can grant students a fully funded summer term, competition is stiff and requires a student's very best academic presentation during the application process; that's where the Study Abroad Office comes in.
Join Dr. Brian Souders on Wednesday, October 22 in Admin 218 for a workshop with strategies to craft competitive essays. Dr. Souders will cover key components of the CLS application, and offer suggestions for making your application as strong as possible prior to the application deadline on November 12 at 8 pm.
