Critical Language Scholarship Information Session
A 100%-funded, intensive-language study abroad program

The Critical Language Scholarship Program (CLS) is a fully funded, nationally competitive summer study abroad program for students interested in studying languages deemed critical to U.S. national security. Languages taught include Korean, Arabic, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese and Swahili, among others. Students can earn 8 credits in beginning, intermediate or advanced language during their summer.
Claudia Anderson from the CLS Program will be on campus to talk more about the program. Dr. Brian Souders, UMBC's coordinator for the CLS program, will answer questions about the scholarship application process on the UMBC side.
