Mindfulness Mondays: Lotus Healing Garden
A Space to Breath. To Reflect. To Be.
Healing through our identities can add to our self-care and mindfulness practices. How we heal in our physical, spiritual, and emotional identities prepares us for when stress and life may impact our mindfulness. Join The Gathering Space for Spiritual Well-Being and Angelina R. Jenkins, Assistant Director of The Mosaic: Center for Cultural Diversity for a Lotus Healing Garden activity reflecting on physical, spiritual, and emotional healing.
Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully bringing one's attention into the present moment without judgment. Join our staff to pause and connect with yourself, others, and the space around you. Each week, you will have various opportunities to practice mindfulness, including yoga, meditation, and exploring various religious/spiritual approaches to this topic. This is a collaborative series between i3b, UMBC Recreation, and the Office of Health Promotions.
Click "going" and fill out our RSVP Form if you are planning to attend. Once you RSVP, you will receive a calendar invite.
Our i3b staff strives to create the most inclusive environment possible. If you need to request a disability-based accommodation or have any questions, contact us at email@example.com. For our uploaded event recordings, attendee lists, works cited, and other materials, please check out our Initiatives for Identity, Inclusion and Belonging (i3b) Events Drive. Materials will be available in this Box Drive within one business week after the event unless otherwise specified.
