Chai Chats Diwali Edition
Celebrate the Festival of Lights with us!
Join us in The Commons, Sportzone for Chai Chats with Merin and Priyanshi!
You’ll get to paint your own diya while you enjoy some chai and food! You’ll learn about how Diwali is celebrated and hear about Bandi Chhor Divas, a Sikh celebration of freedom and justice observed around the same time. It’s also a great chance to meet South Asian student organizations on campus, including NSA, the Sikh Student Association (SSA), HSC, and EKTA, the Indian Graduate Student Organization.
Everyone is welcome, whether you celebrate Diwali every year or this is your first time learning about it. Come for the chai, stay for the community!
Hosted by the Mosaic Center in partnership with NSA, SSA, HSC, and EKTA.
The Mosaic Center and all events are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University’s nondiscrimination policy.
