[Free]dom Fridays: Juneteenth - Joy & Resistance
Friday, June 19, 2020 · 3 PM - 4:15 PM
Online : Via Webex
This biweekly student-centered program is designed to provide a virtual space to have an open dialogue about social justice and identity-based topics with other participants. All are welcome to attend.
This week's Freedom Friday will be focused on the history of Juneteenth, its rise as a nationally recognized holiday amongst people of the African diaspora, its relevance to current liberation struggles, and the relationship between joy and resistance.
If you have any questions or have suggestions for a future [Re]fresh Friday or [Free]dom Friday, please email Heidy George, Program Associate for Student Diversity and Inclusion at email@example.com or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
