[REPOST] IPU: BAIC's 50th Annual Powwow @ Timonium Fairgrounds
Want to go to a Powwow? Tickets & transp. are now free!
Repost from our colleagues, the Indigenous Peoples Union. See the original post here.
The Indigenous Peoples' Union is once again offering free transportation and entry to the Baltimore American Indian Center's (BAIC) Annual Powwow! * RSVP required!
This year marks the 50th anniversary of intertribal gatherings celebrating community, heritage, and land. This is the can't-miss event as this is one of Maryland's biggest Powwows.
Haven't been to a Powwow? Don't worry, union members and friends will be there to help acclimate attendees to the space; just come with an open, respectful mind and enjoy the ceremonial dances, vendors, and food. We'll be leaving from campus and returning to the same spot.
Note that bringing cash is highly recommended, as many vendors (especially food vendors) don't accept cards.
Spots are limited, so don't wait! Fill out this form and sign this waiver to secure your spot, and an email will be sent confirming your attendance and providing you with your ticket no later than Friday evening. Any questions or concerns can be directed to c280@umbc.edu.
