Be Calm 3-Part Stress Management Series
Did you know that more than 40 million Americans suffer from anxiety? We are living in an era of perpetual uncertainty that has been particularly exacerbated by the effects of the pandemic. Luckily for us, there are evidence-based tools and techniques that we can use to make a difference in our day-to-day experience. In this three part series loosely based on the book Be Calm: Proven Techniques to Stop Anxiety Now by Dr. Jill Weber, we will dedicate each session to one of the three areas of the book: feelings, behaviors, and thoughts. Through a mix of reflection, practice, and experiential discussion/activities, we aim to increase all of our mindsets and skill-sets for navigating and diminishing the negative impact of anxiety in our personal and professional lives.
Attendance assumes participation in all three sessions: 3/28, 4/4, and 4/11 from 1-2 p.m. on Webex. Please add each date/time to your calendar. A Webex link will be shared for all sessions prior to the first one on 3/28.
Sessions to be facilitated by Dr. Bruce Herman, Director, Retriever Integrated Health and Jill Wardell, MA, Director, Workplace Learning, OD & Wellness. NOTE: Purchasing and reading the book is not a pre-requisite for attendance. It is purely optional!
