REX Finance is a financial reporting tool of UMBC's REX Data Warehouse.

This will be an introductory course to Rex Finance and show new users how to access, interpret, and download available financial reports.

This course will also briefly guide users on the functionality of the following reports:

Budget to Actual Summary by Fiscal Year - A snapshot of a state department’s activity

Self-Support & Auxiliary Project Multi-Year - A snapshot of 1112 & 1113 project’s activity

Actual Detail by Date Period - A list of all transactions for a specific chart-string

After completing this course, the user will be able to:

- Access REX Finance reports

- Run summary reports for State, Auxiliary, and Self Support funded chart-strings.

- Run detail reports for any chart-string showing a list of transactions during a specified period.  

- Export reports to MS Excel for further analysis

Hands-on practice will be combined along with the demonstration of different activities performed in REX Finance.
