“The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said.” Peter Drucker
While there is debate on how much we communicate nonverbally, we all know that it matters in terms of the impression that we make and the degree to which we influence people and situations. In this interactive course, you will learn how to identify the characteristics, types, and functions of nonverbal communication; analyze other people’s nonverbal communication; and identify and employ strategies to improve your competence in sending nonverbal messages that are received the way you intend them to be. This course will be facilitated by Mary Ogan, Manager of Training & Development from Bowie State University and will include participants from both Bowie and UMBC.
Registration is required. Select "going" below to register. Participants will receive a link with the credentials for the session 24 hours beforehand.
