“You may feel like things are challenging at this moment in your life. But let’s get this straight right now: It’s not because you’re failing or broken. It’s because your spirit demands soaring-not coping. It’s your time.” -Tama Kieves
“Uncertainty is your turning point. Will you move forward from a place of strength or weakness?” In this five-session book discussion, we will explore Tama Kieves’ Thriving Through Uncertainty, and explore how change shows up for us, that we are all inherently equipped to handle turmoil and change, and “how to use any uncertainty as a launching pad for joy.”
Join Melody Wright and Monique Conelius, of the HR Workplace Learning & OD department, for this exploration of what happens when life doesn’t go as planned and change is thrust upon us.
We ask that all participants commit to all five sessions of this book discussion. All sessions will be held via Webex on Wednesdays 1:00-2:00pm from April 12th-May 10th. A link to the sessions will be sent 24 hours prior to the first session.
We have limited quantities of the book. The first 10 people to sign up below AND register via the Google form will receive the book. All others will need to purchase the book (links below).
If you sign up for the book discussion and your plans change, please notify Melody Wright (melodyw@umbc.edu) in advance.
