We all have a least one person in our lives we consider "difficult". Is the person really difficult, or are they a person in a difficult situation? Join us for a session hosted by Melody Wright, Learning & Development Manager, to find tips and best practices for dealing with behaviors you find difficult.
The aim of this session is to equip participants with practical strategies and frameworks for handling disruptive behaviors while strengthening trust, empathy, and self-awareness in workplace relationships.
By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
✔ Identify different types of difficult people, their behaviors, and the possible intentions behind them.
✔ Apply effective strategies to manage difficult behaviors without escalating conflict.
✔ Explore personal behaviors and assumptions, identifying unconscious bias or quick judgments that could affect how they respond to others.
✔ Use principles from the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Styles model to choose constructive approaches to disagreements.
✔ Apply insights from the Trust Equation to rebuild credibility, reliability, and empathy in strained professional relationships.
✔ Develop greater resilience and confidence when managing challenging interactions at work.
