Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) Training Webinar

Dear Campus Community,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the University System of Maryland’s new Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program, effective July 1, 2026. This new benefit provides eligible employees with paid, job-protected leave for qualifying family, medical, or military-related reasons, without the requirement to exhaust your accrued leave.

To ensure everyone is prepared for this transition, we are hosting a campus-wide PFML training webinar. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the program, including eligibility, qualifying reasons for leave, and how to navigate the application process.
There will be an employee facing session and a supervisor facing session. Both sessions will occur on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
