Thriving Thursday: Confidence!
Why Confidence Matters at Work
In many job roles, confidence affects whether people speak up, actively take on new challenges, or hold back from getting involved.
It often shows up in small ways, such as when someone hesitates to share ideas, avoids difficult conversations, or doubts decisions even when they’re right.
Can confidence be learned? Yes!
Join Melody Wright, Manager of Learning & Development (HRSTM), for a session all about building confidence. Together we will learn to:
- Define what self-confidence is and how it affects workplace performance
- Identify factors that influence self-confidence in different situations
- Apply techniques to build and maintain self-confidence
- Set clear, achievable goals for building ongoing confidence development
- Use approaches to manage self-doubt in workplace situations
