Why Critical Diversity Matters in Higher Education
Diversity Workshop For Faculty and Staff
This presentation provides an overview of competing ideas about what constitutes “diversity.” After explaining why this is important in promoting a diverse workforce, the presentation then offers insights about the tangible impact of critical diversity at research universities in the U.S. Participants will leave the session with an expanded perception and appreciation of diversity in higher education and several strategies to apply for improving community inclusion.
