REX-Finance is the reporting tool of the future for UMBC. The purpose of this course is to provide basic REX-Finance knowledge, specifically to navigate to and in the standard financial information for departments in funds 1111 and 1112. The new and improved Department Summary Analysis report will be the focus of the training (previous summary and detail reports remain available with detailed training in the guide provided.)
The new report provides
major improvements in many areas including end-user readability, ease of
downloading, and data available for drilling detail.
After completing this course, the user will be able to:
- Access REX-Finance reports
- Run REX-Finance reports for various departments
- Drill to detail (expenses, vouchers, encumbrances and budgets)in the
REX-Finance reports
- Save, print, export to
Excel and automatically email reports.
Hands-on practice will be combined along with the demonstration of different
activities performed in REX-Finance.
Training documents will be distributed at the session.
