Wellness Wednesdays: Expanded Self-Defense Essentials
Interested in finding simple yet impactful ways to weave wellness into your professional and personal life? If so, please join faculty and staff colleagues for Wellness Wednesdays. Each session offers information, resources, and/or immersion into different wellness modalities that are supported at UMBC.
Did you miss our March Self-Defense Essentials class and/or are you interested in a refresh with some expanded moves for beginners? If so, join Certified Krav Maga instructors Lt. Bruce Perry, and Sgt. Derrick Johns of the UMBC Police who will share simple, effective self-defense techniques for beginners. You'll learn safety tips and leave having practiced some upper and lower body techniques that you can use to defend yourself against certain attacks.
Don't forget to wear comfortable clothing (no jewelry,heels,etc).
Space is limited and registration is required. Registration deadline is Friday, August 11th.
