TED Style Presentations - Part 1
Tuesday, April 30, 2019 · 9 AM - 12 PM
Are your presentations feeling flat? Are you interested in learning how to craft short, dynamic presentations that inspire new thinking and actions? If so, we invite you to join us as we learn to apply secrets of the world's most engaging TED talks into our work.
This is a two-part series. In Part 1 of this highly interactive practice-based session, participants will learn how to:
- Develop the mindset of a TED presenter,
- Design a presentation 'throughline' and structure that serves its intended purpose (to inform, inspire, persuade, etc.),
- Create a compelling opening and a memorable closing statement, and
- Utilize stories and data to connect to listener's hearts and minds.
Please bring a presentation topic that you'd like prepare for and/or explore in greater depth. Woven into the session will be time for reflection, conversation, and peer coaching.
