Meditation In Nature - CANCELED
Friday, May 3, 2019 · 12 - 1 PM
On Campus
Join us the first Friday of each month during free hour as we collectively unplug, recharge, meditate, and reflect in the outdoors through Meditation in Nature sessions at the following beautiful campus locations:
March, April, May: Nature Meditation by the Pond (in front of the Albin O. Kuhn Library)
June, July, August: Seated Meditation in the Park (at the Joseph Beuys Sculpture Park)
September, October, November: Mediation Hikes (on the Herbert Run Greenway and CERA trails - meet at the true grit statue)
Each session will feature different facilitators and meditation techniques to help you reflect and appreciate the stillness AND abundance found both within and without! Leave with more presence, calm, and clarity that you can bring into your next office or classroom activity/interaction.
Please note: Sessions are weather permitting and will be canceled in the event of rain or extreme temperatures.
Appropriate footwear and clothing appropriate for the season is recommended. Mats will be provided for the summer Meditation in the Park sessions.
All are welcome, faculty, staff, and students! No experience necessary.
Co-sponsored by UMBC Wellness Initiative, Sustainability Matters at UMBC and the Center for Art, Design, and Visual Culture.
Registration is required. Please register by May 1st.
