Social Barriers Women and Gender Minorities Face in STEM
Women + Gender Minorities in STEM Discussion Series
The Women and Gender Minorities in STEM discussion group makes space for women and gender minority students, faculty, and staff to explore their experiences studying in the STEM field.
On Friday, November 9th from 2:30-3:30 PM in the Women’s Center lounge, we will be holding an active discussion event about the social barriers that may hinder or prevent women and gender minorities from succeeding in STEM fields, and discuss how to overcome those barriers.
Light refreshments will be provided at the time of the discussion. We still ask for those to wear a mask while in the Women’s Center.
Please note: UMBC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors. If you have difficulties accessing any of the materials on our site or any of our events or discussions, please contact us so that we can provide an alternative format and/or remedy any accessibility challenges.
