Clothesline Project T-Shirt Making
Decorate a shirt to add to our Clothesline Project Display
Monday, April 1, 2024 at 9:30 AM - Friday, April 12, 2024 at 5 PM
Students, faculty, and staff have made t-shirts describing their experience with relationship violence and sexual assault. On Tuesday, April 16th, these t-shirts will be hung shoulder-to-shoulder on a clothesline for public viewing, as if the survivors are there themselves, telling us their stories.
The Clothesline Project gives voice to the experiences of survivors, victims, families, and friends who have been affected by violence. The Women's Center will be providing materials for those who identify as survivors or victims of violence to decorate t-shirts to add to our clothesline project display.
UMBC community members impacted by Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) are encouraged to make a t-shirt for the display prior to April 9th.
Hours in the Women's Center:
Mondays through Thursdays from 9:30 AM - 5 PM
Friday: Closed, please e-mail us at womens.center@umbc.edu with any questions or request.
UMBC community members interested in volunteering for this event (Clothesline Project) are encouraged to email the Women's Center at womens.center@umbc.edu. Setting up the project takes lots of hands so volunteers are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Women's Center Staff
