Spectrum: FINAL Meeting (for the Semester)
A biweekly discussion group for trans + non-binary people
Join the Spectrum discussion group in the Women’s Center lounge for our FINAL meeting of the Spring semester! You do not need to have attended a previous session to join.
Discussion will wrap up the semester with what we have learned, what has changed, and what progress needs to continue. We will be making paper collages (trans joy, trans utopia, the future you want to see, etc) during discussion.
You are welcome (and encouraged!) to bring your own collage materials such as magazines, newspapers, ribbon, stickers, etc. Collage materials will also be provided during discussion to all participants.
This event is facilitated by Ash Acuña.

The Spectrum Discussion Group makes space for UMBC community members who identify as trans, genderqueer, gender fluid, outside of the gender binary, and/or those who are questioning their gender identity and those who are allies, regardless of their sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This discussion-based program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming environment and thoughtful community to engage in conversations focused on the experiences of the transgender community.
Spring 2024: We meet every other week on Wednesdays at 4pm in the Women's Center Lounge!
If you have any questions, concerns, or want to know more about the group, email us at womenscenter@umbc.edu.
