Welcome to Headspace! Masking is suppressing or concealing neurodivergent traits around others in order to appear neurotypical. Let's talk about masking! What would life be like if you didn't have to mask? In this Headspace meeting we are going to have a lot of fun decorating masks as an act of self-expression to demonstrate our truest selves. Glitter, Feathers, Stickers, Gems! Let's Go!
When: Thursday, March 26th at 11:30 AM
Where: Women's Gender & Equity Center
The Headspace discussion group aims to create a safe and empowering space centered around neurodiversity and neurodivergent people. We will adhere to the Women's, Gender, & Equity Center Brave Space guidelines. Brave Space guidelines model, to aid us in cultivating a thoughtful community and engaging conversations. This group is centered around self-identified neurodivergent voices and experiences, particularly undergraduate and graduate students. We welcome all students, staff, and faculty to learn more about neurodiversity, regardless of their sex, gender, race, ethnicity, or national origin; we request that students do not use this space for class research or interviews. This group will take place biweekly in the Women's, Gender, & Equity Center.
