Women & Gender Minorities in STEM Discussion
Let's talk about it!
We're so excited to be bringing back the Women & Gender Minorities in STEM discussion group. If you identify with this group or have topics to share, please join us to talk about common experiences and challenges as minorities in STEM!
04/23 Topic → AI in STEM: Empowerment or Replacement?
This session will explore how AI is influencing learning, research, and career paths in STEM fields. We’ll talk about whether AI is enhancing our abilities, creating new opportunities, or raising concerns about job security and equity, especially for women and gender minorities navigating these spaces.
The Women & Gender Minorities in STEM discussion group will engage in conversations focused on the experiences of women and other gender minority students studying in the STEM fields. This group centers around the experiences of women and gender minorities in the STEM community; we request that students do not use this space for class research or interviews.
This event is open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the university's nondiscrimination policy.
A gender minority is defined as someone whose gender identity or expression differs from their assigned sex at birth.
