Spectrum: Fall Welcome and Introductions!

Welcome back, everyone! We are resuming our Spectrum discussion group in the Women's, Gender, and Equity Center for the Fall semester. These will happen bi-weekly on Wednesday's from 1PM - 2PM starting 9/9.

Join the Spectrum discussion group in the Women's, Gender, & Equity Center lounge for our first meeting of the semester. Everyone is welcome, whether this is your first time or you've joined us in the past! 

For our first session we will welcome each other back and get to know new folks and get an idea of what our semester will look like together.

The Spectrum Discussion Group makes space for UMBC community members who identify as trans, genderqueer, gender fluid, outside of the gender binary, and/or those who are questioning their gender identity and those who are allies, regardless of their sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This discussion-based program follows the Women's, Gender, and Equity Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming environment and thoughtful community to engage in conversations focused on the experiences of the transgender community.

Fall 2026: We meet every other week on Wednesdays at 1pm in the Women's, Gender, and Equity Center Lounge!

This group centers trans, non-binary, and gender-questioning experiences; we request that students do not use this space for class research or interviews.
