Clothesline Project and Relationship Violence Resource Fair
In Honor of UMBC's Relationship Violence Awareness Month
Students, Faculty, and Staff have made t-shirts describing their experience with relationship violence and sexual assault. On Thursday, October 24th, these t-shirts will be hung shoulder-to-shoulder on a clothesline for public viewing, as if the survivors are there themselves, telling us their stories.
The Clothesline Project gives voice to the experiences of survivors, victims, family, and friends who have been affected by violence. All are encouraged to attend and participate.
Resources and information from the Women's Center, the Relationship Violence Awareness & Prevention program, and Green Dot will also be available at the display.
For the first time, we will hold a reflection and discussion at the conclusion of the display at 4pm in the Women's Center. Share thoughts, stories, and reactions to the Clothesline Project and honor those we have lost over the past year due to intimate partner violence.
