Dear Campus Community,
UMBC's legacy travel system will officially shut down on March 1, 2026, as part of our transition to SAP Concur.
If you have outstanding travel activity in the legacy system, please complete the steps below:
What You Need to Do Now
Submit any remaining reimbursement requests tied to legacy pre-approvals no later than 11:29 PM on February 28, 2026.
Confirm all required documentation has been uploaded and approvals are complete.
Contact the Travel Team if you need assistance transitioning outstanding reimbursements to Concur.
After March 1
The legacy system will move to read-only access for reference purposes only.
All new travel requests and expense reports must be completed in SAP Concur.
As we close this chapter, we would like to recognize and thank Joe Kirby and Frank Elmore, the creators of the legacy travel system. Developed out of necessity during the COVID-19 pandemic, the system was built using the resources available at the time to ensure the University could continue supporting essential travel operations. Their innovation, dedication, and hard work made a lasting impact on our campus community and will not be forgotten.
Can we get a few paws for Joe and Frank?
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Travel Team at travel@umbc.edu.
Thank you for your continued partnership during this transition.
