Lunch & Ideation: Co-Creating UMBC’s Gen Ed Future
A Collaborative Brainstorming Session at the PT&LS
Help lay the groundwork for UMBC’s next-generation general education program!
Join colleagues across campus for a facilitated, high-energy lunch session where your insights can influence the future of our curriculum. We’ll kick off with interactive table discussions to brainstorm what a reimagined Gen Ed experience should accomplish.
What to expect:
-
Your Voice Matters: Brainstorm and comment freely—all table notes will be collected anonymously and will directly inform the Task Force’s proposals to the Faculty Senate.
-
Catered Lunch: Fuel up and connect with peers from different departments.
-
Real-Time Insights: End the session by seeing live, event-wide trends and themes synthesized from the afternoon's conversations.
-
From Ideas to Action: Dr. Gaston reflects on the live session, offering takeaways and connecting our collective ideas to practical, proven ways forward.
This registration is ONLY for the lunch & conversations from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. For information on the full symposium, including an agenda and program, please see the main PT&LS post.
