About Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
When warfighters, policymakers, and senior U.S. leaders need to know what’s in an adversary’s military “playbook,” they rely on the agency to combine defense intelligence from all sources, giving the United States and its allies an advantage.
DIA takes extremely seriously its job to be an objective provider of facts and assessments of foreign military actions and capabilities.
DIA technology can detect and characterize objects that emit heat, light, vibrations, or sound. From a ballistic missile to a warehouse used for nefarious purposes, DIA’s advanced sensors can detect the unique characteristics of foreign weapons, facilities, and even foreign individuals to discover threats and develop countermeasures.
At bottom, DIA aims to know as much as possible about foreign adversaries’ militaries to help protect the United States.
