Wednesday, November 7, 2012 · 5 - 6:30 PM
As an intelligence-driven and a threat-focused national security and law enforcement organization, the mission of the FBI is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners.
Here in Baltimore the applicant program is charged with recruiting new FBI Special Agents and guiding them through the lengthy and difficult testing/selection/background process in order to become a Special Agent of the FBI. While the FBI Baltimore field office is ranked 18th in size among the 56 field offices throughout the country, FBI Baltimore places on duty more new agents than New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and many other large offices and is in fact ranked 2nd in new agent hires. Given the geographical region located in the heart of the federal workforce, the large number of military installations and world class academic institutions, the FBI Baltimore applicant program will continue to provide a strong recruiting base for the next generation of FBI employees.
