Join us for a unique student experience at MilliporeSigma’s Rockville site, where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the biotechnology industry. This visit will include an organizational overview, site tour, networking lunch, and a panel session with staff representing a variety of roles and backgrounds. You’ll gain exposure to different areas across the company — from lab work to quality assurance, operations, and more — all designed to introduce you to the exciting possibilities in biotech and contract testing services.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age by the start of the internship and enrolled in a post-high school program.
- For full-time employment, we have entry-level positions on a rolling basis, such as Lab Technician, Associate Scientist, and Quality Assurance, most of which just require a degree in the life sciences and any prior in-person lab experience is a plus.
Students from all life sciences majors and all school years are encouraged to attend. International students are eligible for Internships!

We encourage students to come prepared with questions for our employees during the panel session - about career paths, professional backgrounds, day-to-day roles, or anything else they're curious about. Our team loves sharing their experiences and answering questions candidly.
Closed-toe shoes are required, since students will be touring the labs, and a valid ID is needed for check-in.
MilliporeSigma - Work Areas
Internship opportunities are open to students of all class years, and full-time roles are available to graduating seniors. Milliporesigma is excited to connect with life sciences majors from all academic years who are interested in lab experience and learning more about biotechnology and contract testing services. Also welcoming students from other disciplines such as operations, project management, quality assurance, and supply chain.
