UMBC Mechanical, Chemical & Biochemical Engineers, you are invited to join us as we go On the Road as to visit Emergent Biosolutions (EBS) for Manufacturing Day!
Manufacturing Day, Oct 4, is a national event to highlight the importance of manufacturing to the U.S. economy and showcase the rewarding, highly skilled jobs available in manufacturing fields. Manufacturers are encouraged to open their doors to the community and to engage future talent by giving them firsthand experience through facility tours and interaction with employees.
The proposed program in EBS Baltimore is as follows (still subject to change):
October 4, Friday
8:30 am Leave from the UMBC Public Policy Building
9:00am – 9:10am Registration
9:10am – 9:20am Welcome Remarks
9:20am – 9:40am Overview of Emergent BioSolutions/Baltimore Facility
9:40am – 10:30am Panel Discussion on Careers in Manufacturing – (Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering)
10:30am – 11:30am Facility Tour
11:30am – 12:30pm Poster Sessions/Q&A
12:30pm – 1:00pm Pizza Reception
1:00pm End Event
2:00 Return to UMBC
Transportation will be provided from UMBC. Space is limited and RSVP is required.
