Grad School 101: Navigating the Application Process

DETAILS
The event will be November 6, 2013 from 4-8 pm at Morgan State University, University Student Center. Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the event as it will be starting promptly at 4 pm. Park in the Parking Garage next to the football field and then take the 3rd floor bridge over to the University Student Center (directions below). Once in the building, follow the signs to the event.
RESUME, APPLICATION & ESSAY REVIEW
If desired, bring your resume, graduate school application, or graduate admission essay/ personal statement to the event to have it reviewed by a staff member from one of the MCC’s member schools. There will be time during the event to have your admission materials reviewed. This is an optional part of the event.
PARKING
When you park in the garage for this event, you will receive a white ticket (you will need this to get back out of the garage). When you check into the event, we will give you a parking pass that will allow you to park for free. Please make sure that you hold on to both the white ticket and the parking pass we will give you- you will need both to get out of the garage with complimentary parking.
CARPOOLING AND COLLEGETOWN SHUTTLE
Since we are expecting over 100 attendees at this event, please consider carpooling with friends attending the event or taking the free Collegetown Shuttle. There is a stop on Morgan’s campus just a short walk from the University Student Center. You can find more about the shuttle schedule and stops here: http://www.baltimorecollegetown.org/shuttle/
DINNER
If you register by November 2 and request dinner, you are guaranteed dinner. If you register after November 2, there will be an opportunity for you to pick up any extra dinners left over after the first session.
DIRECTIONS
From any direction via the Baltimore Beltway (I-695)
• Get on I-695 and head toward the northeastern portion of the beltway.
• Take Exit 30A, Perring Parkway South. The Parkway name changes to Hillen Road. Continue to Cold Spring Ln.
• Turn Left on Cold Spring Lane.
• Go about 0.3 miles on Cold Spring Ln. East
• Turn Right to the first street (Stadium Drive).
• Go to the second Stop Sign. Garage is located on the right.
• Once in the garage, take the elevator to the third floor bridge that connects to the University Student Center.
• Follow signs in the building to the event.
